What we do

Peter Katona teacher
Timelines’ was founded by middle school teacher Peter Katona. He is a long-time educator who realized the need for high-end, fair-minded tutoring available to all. Timelines’ mission is to instill curiosity and interest in the subjects we support and teach. An interested student is one who will earn better grades, achieve higher scores, and appreciate and honor the subject as a life-long learner.
Timelines never infuses politics or ideology into the material, whether supporting in-school work or teaching a full course. Our history instruction gives appropriate credit to Western achievements when they are due, and suggests that flaws, challenges and triumphs are all part of a proper and accurate historical story.
At Timelines the priority is providing the balance students may not get in the classrooms and allowing them to explore the history, issues, and modern dilemmas with moral clarity, openly and freely.

Testimonials
“Timelines works brilliantly with my 16 year old son focusing on school assignments in both History and English. When he has no specific task due, Timelines always provides creative lessons on research, editing and writing and the resulting grades show it!”

“Timelines makes me a priority during and between sessions and sets aside extra time to help me engage with passion and rigor in my school assignments across the humanities, especially in American History.”
